I have classes for all levels of ability and have added some Intro to Pastel classes as well as some art business classes. Read on to see what I am offering!
ONGOING: Consider joining my ongoing pastel class ‘Back to Basics’. We cover the basics of painting and pastel techniques. This class is suitable for artists of all levels of experience. I offer the class twice each week…Class meets Wednesday mornings from 10:00am-12:00 OR Wednesday evenings from 7:00 pm-9:00.

In this hands on workshop I will introduce you to the world of online art sales with emphasis on getting started with your own Art Blog. Bring your laptop, camera and some art and you will have the opportunity to start your blog and learn how easy it is to get your art online!

If you have ever wanted to try pastels but you are not sure if you will like them enough to invest in supplies then this is the workshop for you! I will supply artist grade pastels and papers so you can try the best pastels have to offer. We will learn about the supplies and basic pastel techniques. We will discover how to get luminous painterly strokes with fat pieces of pastels. All supplies included! Come see why pastels are so wonderful!
JANUARY 22 Sunday 1-5 $55 PAINTING THE WINTER LANDSCAPE using our own handmade surfaces
Start the new year with a new surface! In this class we will be learning about and creating our own pastel surfaces and introducing texture to our work. Will will be focusing on the winter landscape and learn about painting snow and the subtle colors of winter.
FEBRUARY 18 Saturday 1-5 $60 INTRODUCTION TO PASTELS II
In this workshop I will introduce you to pastels and add to the topics covered in the January intro class. We will explore different surface options and continue learning how to get those pastels to do what you want them to! All supplies included.
FEBRUARY 19 Sunday 1-5 $45 THE UNDERPAINTING CHALLENGE
In this workshop we will explore the world of underpainting and answer the question”How do I know what kind of underpainting to use?” In this class we will do Richard McKinley’s underpainting challenge and complete 9 different underpaintings. It is a lot of work but a great learning experience and a lot of fun!
MARCH 3 Saturday 1-5 $45 GETTING YOUR WORK ONLINE part II Expanding your online presence
In this hands on workshop we will add to your online presence with a blog tune-up and an opportunity to open an Etsy shop. Bring your laptop, camera and finished work and we will work on adding to your online arsenal!
